Volunteering

Volunteers are a vital part of Summer Hill Community Centre. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to contribute to your community, to help people and actively use and share your skills, attributes and knowledge. Moreover, you meet new people, develop and learn new skills, build professional and social relationships and gain the wonderful feeling of accomplishment, or maybe gain valuable experience that may lead to future employment opportunities.

Volunteers work in all program areas in varied roles and capacities. Vacancies available change over time. We are always looking at new ways to involve volunteers in our organisation. Volunteers work on the following programs which cover most days of the week:

  • Playgroups
  • Storytelling
  • Activity Instructor
  • Events Coordinators
  • Newsletters Editorials
  • Management Committee
  • General Maintenance Duties
  • Reception and Administration
  • Gardening and Ground Maintenance

You can become a volunteer at Summer Hill Community Centre today by downloading the volunteer application form or obtaining one from centre office.

Summer Hill Community Centre Inc
is a not-for-profit autonomous community-based organisation, which provides information and assistance to local residents and implements programs to meet community needs.
